Attracting some 1,100 people in the inaugural year (2011) and 1800 in 2012, the Festival of Performing Arts is positioned in the quiet month of September to help address low season visitation in Lorne. The ongoing event also addresses the lack of Performing Arts events on the Surf Coast providing an experience unique for the community and region at large. Numerour venues across town are involved with acrobats, jazz musicians, burlesque artists and more joining the event. Appointing Monique Harvey (previous Associate Producer of the Speigletent for 7 years) as Creative Director and Emma Jarman as Event Manager, sure an idea quickly grow into fruition. Everything from the creative branding, permits & approvals, sponsorship, ticketing process and selection of artists was driven and coordinated by the Provincial Wisdom team.
